Centenary Year of Rovering


It is an individual challenge for the youth of Bengal, to prove themselves as the  BEST YOUTH OF THE CENTURY organized by East Calcutta BS&G form August 2018 to December 2018.

How Can You Be ?

  • Any Invested Rover who is physically and mentally fit to face different challenges from any Crew/Group of WB/E.Rly/SERly BS&G can participate.
  • Candidate has to fill up the application form Offline or Online and submit it to DHQ (see the contact) or scan and send it  through email, whatsaap  etc
  • Please enclose Rupees 50 ( Fifty only) as registration fee.
  • The competition has Four tyre structure.


5th August 2018 Sunday: Opening of the  Competition through a Bike Rally

5th August to 1st September 2018:  Receiving of Application

9th September 2018 SUNDAY at 11.30 AM : Phase 1 Competition- Written Test- Start

9th September 2018 SUNDAY at 12.30 PM : Phase 1 Competition- Written Test- End

10th September 2018 Panchmahari Day:  Publication of the Result of Phase 1

24th September 2018 : Selected Candidates  will start Work for Phase II

October  2018: Upload of the Phase II Activity on Social Net Work and Send Soft copy

October 2018: Result of Phase II and Publication of Selected candidate list

7th November 2018 :  Phase III Starts – Continuous 5 days

 November 2018:  Result of Phase III

December 2018 : FINAL  PHASE  and GALA CLOSING CAMP for 3 days

Applicant will face the written test,

The test will be Multiple Choice 100 questions. Each Question contain 4 answer including one correct answer.

The question will be based on subjects of Scouting and Rovering as on APRO II print 2015. General Knowledge on Cub Section, APRO I, Rules

There will be separate OMR  answer sheet which will be collected at the end of the test.

Each Question carry 2 Marks, 1 Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Following area are the proposed testing venue , which will be arranged as per the availability of the candidates.

Qualified participants from Phase I have to take part in this phase. They will  participate in service projects which will decided by organisers.

In this project they can take the help of their friend and group which will be not more than 8.

Participants have to take photos and videos of theirs projects and make a presentation.

At the end of the project they have to upload the pictorial project report on a social site on a given date and will also send a soft copy to organiser.

Judgment will based on the LIKING of the report on Social Media and Analysis of the Panel of Judges.

50% of the Phase II candidate will be selected for Phase III

In this phase candidate will  participate in a selection camp which will be of 5 days

Camp will be really a challenging one.

In this camp we will cheek the skills, leadership, psychology and management of a participant who will be fit for the Best of Best Award.

25% of the Phase III candidate will be selected for the Final Phase.

There will be a camp where finalist will go through some Social Challenge designed in the light of  Rovering and will cross 

individual hurdles on stage to get the  INGALABU AWARD.

Champion : Gift Hamper Cash Prize of Rs 20000  Certificate and Memento of Champion

Best  Participant: Free Trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – to visit WOSM world HQ

Runners:  Gift Hamper Cash Prize of Rs 5000  Certificate and Memento of Runners

All Finalist: Gift Hamper  Cash Prize of Rs 1000  Certificate and Badge of Championship

All Phase III Participants: Gift Hamper ,Certificate and Badge of Challenge

All Phase II :  Participants: Certificate with a Medal of  Appreciation

All Phase I  Participants: Free Camp of Rover Rangers and Other State Participant organised by authority.
